Cheongok Cave
The location of Cheongok Cave is remarkable since it is located in the central city, and not in a deep forest, and visitors can drop by while city-sightseeing. Boasting 4~5 hundred million years of history, it maintains a mysterious history and scenes of nature as a natural limestone cave. Visitors can also see a variety of rare stones that are of great scientific value.

Chuam, which is harmonious with heavenly cliffs and fantastic rocks and stones, is famous for “Chottaebawi,” a tall rock shaped like a candle. Chuam is also famous for its fantastic sunrises all year around. Especially on New Year's Day, photographers flock from all over the country to take photos of the sun rising over the rocks. The flocks of photographers is another sight to see.

It is the largest of the eastern beaches, and the sands are 1.4 kilometers long.
With the best facilities such as parking lots, camp sites, convenient facilities, you may enjoy a pleasant summer. The beach is a national tour spot that locates in the northern of Mukho harbor, and it is being developed with Okgye and Gyeongpo as satellite vacationlands. A thick pine forests behind the sands make it more tasteful. Since its depth is low, children could enjoy swimming safely.

This scenic spot shows a glorious magnificence. At the entrance of this valley, there is a bridge. If you walk across it, you can see the supernatural world.
From Mureungbanseok, a great rock on which hundreds of people can sit, Samhwa Temple , Haksodae, Okryudong, and Seonnyeotang to Yongchu fall and Twin fall, each may attract tourists. It was beautiful enough to be called a Utopia, so poets, scholars, and monks had visited it frequently.

- The harbor opened in 1941, starting as the first trading port, and now it becomes a base of the fishing industries in East Coast. Ferries to Uleungdo leave at 10 every morning. If you come to a fish market early in the morning when the fishing boats return, you can get a fresh fishes or enjoy seeing people bring fishes to the hammer.
There is an unmanned lighthouse built in June 1963 at Mt. Dongmun in Mukho. This is 12 meters tall and two-storied. The white beacon matches with the blue sea, so it makes a clean and fresh image. Also there is a small park which allows to view the ocean at a look around it. At the entrance of the park, a poem, “From the sun to a boy” lies on a big stone.
