Preparation

What you should prepare

• Clothes: dress for the season; prepare clothes, shoes and caps for mountain climbing
• Washing kit: toothpaste, toothbrush, shaver (towel and soap are provided)
• Medical kit: prepare personal medicines only as there is a hospital at the site
• Others: Backpack, walking stick, gloves, raincoat etc.

Weather

• Similar to Gangneung, the Eastern coast(As it is mountainous and by the sea, the temperature gap between day and night is big)

Voltage

• 220V (the actual place of Mt. Geumgangsan)

Items that are prohibited

• Binoculars or telescopes of more than 10 magnifications, cameras equipped with a more than 160mm telescopic lens, video cameras equipped with x24 zoom lens (optical)
• Printed articles from South Korea (newspapers, magazines, books etc.)
• Counterfeit bills, wireless sets etc.
• Poisonous drugs, Marijuana, and other toxic chemicals except for medicinal purposes
• Other items which are not appropriate for sightseeing
  ※ Mobile phone will be collected and kept at Hwajinpo Asan resting place

Caution

• Do not take photos of Goseong port, any facilities of or of North Koreans
• Do not drop trash or cigarette butts while sightseeing
• Do not disturb works during immigration report and entry procedure
• Do not smoke or use the restroom except in appointed areas
• Do not damage nature or collect any natural objects
• Do not carry in prohibited items or food
• Do not say anything that criticizes the economy or ideology of the North
