200% Growth of Chinese Tourists Compared to Last Year
The Kangwon Province group tour product including corporate incentive, silver tour group and youth group is getting a great response within China.
According to Director Gap Yeol Choi of Kangwon Province Tour Marketing Business Headquarters, the number of Chinese tourists are greatly increasing despite the fact that international tour market is going through a depression from the effect of recent Novel Swine-Origin Influenza while the number of Chinese tourists visiting Nami Island has especially increased by 189% compared to the same period of last year. This is because Kangwon Province and Korean Tourism Organization have promoted continuous marketing targeting Chinese market such as the grand tour sales and familiarization tour for product development, so that the release of distinctive tour products such as “high quality Korean wave well being experience product” or “Korean-Chinese youth exchange festival”, etc became directly connected with recruiting visitors and also because they are giving a high degree of satisfaction to Chinese tourists who have visited.
From now on, the province is also planning to set spurs to specialized tour products for Chinese people such as ‘Romantic Fine Brand Tour’, ‘Medical Recuperation Tour’, ‘I♡Ski Camp’ or ‘C-K Ski Festival’, etc targeting middle classes and middle aged groups of China through business affiliations with influential travel agencies within China. |
